New Light

Longing for the daybreak

The end of the night with her thoughts and dreams

The winds sweeps away some leaves up high

Up in the violet sky.

And now when the new sun rises up

And the old moon says goodbye

Now the new day has begun.

I've realised it now:

All the others waste this time

Refrain

Every morning I come to this place

To see the new light burning

With every breath I take

Something more around me begins to live

Born.. grown.. got older.. dead..

Longing for the night – the darkness,

which hides my pain.

Longing for the silence – the end of endless thinking.

Longing for the dead – which saves me

for all my feelings.

Every morning I come to this place

To see the new light burning

Woken up.. recognised.. experienced,

Extinct.. between them – I've been here.
